The eight State Associations of the Technische Hilfswerk (THW) serve as the interface with government, public administration, aid organisations and the regional economy at the level of Germany’s federal states. Each is headed by a Head of the State Association who is responsible for ensuring that all the organisational units within their state association can execute their tasks and maintain operational readiness.
